Author Guidelines

Journal of Educational Change and Innovation welcomes original and unpublished manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in educational change, reform, and innovation.

1. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original research articles (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods)

  • Conceptual or theoretical papers

  • Systematic literature reviews

  • Best practice and case study reports

2. Manuscript Originality

Submitted manuscripts must:

  • Be original works and not previously published

  • Not be under consideration for publication in another journal

  • Be free from plagiarism and unethical publication practices

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  • Title

  • Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s)

  • Abstract (150–250 words)

  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  • Introduction

  • Literature Review

  • Methodology

  • Results / Findings

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • References

4. Manuscript Length and Format

  • Length: 6,000–8,000 words, including references

  • Language: English

  • Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point

  • Spacing: 1.5 spacing

  • Paper size: A4 with standard margins

5. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should clearly state the research purpose, methodology, main findings, and contribution. Keywords should reflect the main themes of the manuscript.

6. Citation and References

  • The journal uses the APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references.

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).

7. Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure:

  • Ethical clearance for research involving human subjects

  • Proper acknowledgment of all sources

  • Disclosure of any conflicts of interest

8. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Online Submission System (OJS). Authors are required to complete all submission metadata and upload the manuscript file.

9. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors must ensure that the manuscript does not contain any identifying information.

10. Revision and Proofreading

Authors are responsible for revising manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments and for proofreading the final version prior to publication.

11. Publication Fee

The journal does not charge submission or publication fees (Article Processing Charge/APC: free).

12. Copyright and License

Authors retain copyright and agree to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).
