Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Journal of Educational Change and Innovation applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles.

  1. Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the Editorial Team to assess their suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to author guidelines, and compliance with ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the authors without external review.

  2. Plagiarism Check
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to plagiarism detection using recognized plagiarism-checking software. Manuscripts with unacceptable levels of similarity will be rejected or returned to authors for revision.

  3. Double-Blind Review
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

  4. Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, relevance, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, and significance to educational change and innovation.

  5. Review Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept

    • Accept with minor revisions

    • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)

    • Reject

  6. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version along with a detailed response to reviewers.

  7. Final Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief after evaluating the revised manuscript. Accepted articles proceed to copyediting and layout editing prior to publication.

The journal strives to conduct the peer review process in a fair, transparent, timely, and constructive manner, in accordance with international academic publishing standards.
